sqlrake is a local-first macOS database client. Your database content is not sent to sqlrake servers.
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how sqlrake handles information when you use the macOS application and this static website. It does not cover the privacy practices of database servers, cloud providers, hosting providers, or other third-party services you connect to using sqlrake.
2. Database content
sqlrake does not collect, store, proxy, or transmit your database rows, SQL queries, schema details, BLOB files, JSON values, exported files, or local SQLite file contents to sqlrake-operated servers. Database traffic is initiated by the app directly from your Mac to the database target you configure.
3. Connection information and credentials
Connection names, hosts, ports, usernames, local file paths, layout preferences, and similar app settings may be stored locally on your Mac so the app can provide saved connections and restore your workflow. Passwords, private keys, and other sensitive credentials should be stored using the security mechanisms provided by macOS and the app. You should not send credentials to support unless specifically requested through a secure process.
4. Local preferences and cached state
The app may keep local preferences such as window state, table view settings, recently used connections, column visibility, sort settings, and pending UI state. These values are used to make the app more convenient and are stored locally unless the operating system or your own backup/sync configuration copies them elsewhere.
5. Diagnostics and analytics
If sqlrake is distributed through Apple platforms, Apple may provide crash reports, performance diagnostics, or App Analytics when you have opted in through Apple privacy settings. These reports are used to improve reliability. They are not intended to include database content, credentials, SQL query text, or private files.
6. Support communications
If you contact support at toraxs@hotmail.com, the information you include in your email will be used to respond to your request. Please remove passwords, tokens, private keys, customer data, production database content, and other sensitive information before sending screenshots, logs, SQL text, or sample files.
7. Website data
This website is a static website. It does not intentionally collect personal information through account registration or forms. Depending on how the website is hosted, standard server logs may be processed by the hosting provider, such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and access time.
8. Third-party databases and services
When you use sqlrake to connect to a database, server, SSH endpoint, cloud service, or local file location, that destination may process information according to its own configuration and policies. sqlrake does not control those third-party systems.
9. Data retention
Local app settings remain on your Mac until you delete them, remove the app data, or change the relevant app settings. Support emails may be retained as needed to provide support, maintain records, and improve the app.
10. Security
sqlrake is designed to keep database workflows local to your Mac and direct database targets. No software can guarantee perfect security. Keep macOS updated, protect your device account, review database permissions, and avoid storing more credentials than necessary.
11. Children
sqlrake is a professional database utility and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated as sqlrake changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
